Welcome!

Welcome!

Hello and welcome to The Nature Nut Project! I’m Ashlee, a self-professed nature nut. Nature is where my soul calls home. I am most often found marveling at mountain vistas, smelling wildflowers, climbing trees, and watching wild animals. My hobbies include hiking, backpacking, climbing, and kayaking.

I started this blog to express my passion for the natural world and inspire others to join me in appreciating and protecting our precious Earth. This site is far more to me than talking about cool places that should be on your bucket list – it’s about seeing the magic in natural spaces everywhere, from the highest mountains in the world to the wildflowers in your local park. I want to inspire an abiding love of the natural world and considerate action in our communities to reduce our impact on the environment and preserve our green spaces for years to come.

Why should you read this blog?

  • If you are yearning for a deeper connection with nature
  • If you want to make a difference for green spaces and natural habitats in your community
  • If you want to help preserve the planet for future generations
  • If you find yourself stressed out by the pace of modern life and the demands of being ever-connected via technology and are searching for a better way to cope
  • If you already consider yourself a “nature nut” and want to join a community of like-minded nature lovers
  • If you want to get into some outdoor hobbies and don’t know where to start

I hope to see you on the blog and out in our beautiful world!
